Valentine's Day With Tea And Lovers

This year's Valentine's Day was lovely, and no, not because the hubby did anything (yes I'm calling him out, ::evil laughter::, heart you!), but because we shared it with all of our wonderful friends over a delightful tea party.  As I mentioned a couple of posts before, my talented friend EH hosted this tea party, and she was actually the one that started this "tradition" (yes, I am calling a tradition to hint that we should do this every year!  Yeah E? :D) a few years ago.  Since then, whenver we could find the time each year, we always try to do a tea party where she makes old and new delectable bite-size goodies to devour with tea.  My memory is bad and couldn't remember the different kinds of tea we tried that day, but thank goodness I took pictures of the eats.

The following are items on the menu this year.  Please drool along with me...

Cucumber stuffed with lox cream cheese filling (I helped by pumping the lox filling in the cups. This was fun!)
Mini fruit tarts with strawberries, blueberries, and grapes. Another friend EC helped by carefully cutting all of the fruit into small slices and patiently piped and assembled all of these fruit tarts. Bravo! Photo courtesy of E's sister, WH (Thank you! The ones I took of the fruit tarts were all blurry...).
Earl grey tea shortbread cookies and Cream tea scones. Not pictured were the lemon curd and devonshire cream that accompanied the scones for spreading.
Linzer cookies with raspberry jam. Perfect for the occassion!
Chocolate croissant (yeah man, not some stinking 'ol regular bread!) bread pudding.
Mini pumpkin cheesecakes (guess who made this?! Hahaa... whenever I can, wherever I can, I'm going to bust out some mini-cheesecake-anythings!)
On to the savory items, Egg salad sandwiches with cucumber and mint.
Two sandwiches here: Smoked turkey with earl grey honey butter sandwiches (triangle-cut) and Chicken tarragon almond sandwiches (square-cut).
Prosciutto and mozzarella with pesto butter sandwiches. I must have ate 4-5 of these different sandwiches each! YUMM!
The entire spread. Photo courtesy of WH and her super duper camera!
Thank you my dear EH for another superb tea party!  And on your new beautiful dining set, no less!
